It’s a Tile — Release 01

Description

A limited-edition glazed ceramic tile, made in Portugal. Hand-finished, high-gloss black, 15 × 7.5 × 0.58 cm, 115 g. It is a tile.

Every tile is individually numbered and laser-engraved with its own code. That code is its entry in the ownership registry — a public, WHOIS-style record of who holds which tile. Register yours and you become its Tileholder, for as long as you want to be.

One box, one to three tiles. The first is $50. Each additional tile is $10. They arrive in the same box, each with its own certificate of authenticity and its own registry entry — so a second tile is a complete, giftable object, not a spare.

Every box includes a microfibre cloth, which you will need, because the surface is a fingerprint magnet and scratches permanently.

Covered by the warranty: if it breaks, we replace it once, free. Send a photograph — we don’t want the pieces back.
